Memory boxes are provided to children who have registered with us and have been or are soon to be bereaved of a parent or sibling. They enable children to treasure special items, photographs and memories.
The boxes are put together individually with the child in mind and will include a notebook, pen or pencil, tissues, a specially designed rainbow wish bracelet and in some cases, relevant books and resources.
What the families say
‘This was lovely to do as we spoke about Paul and what he liked, so put on stickers that we thought he would like. We also spoke about what Nathan could put in the box once it's home.

The boxes are a fantastic idea and really help open up a hard conversation about memories and how to remember our loved one. We had books given to us and think that they are a fantastic addition to any memory box, again they really helped Nathan face up to what had happened to his Dad and how different people react to grief and who and what can help.
Nathan has his in a safe place in his bedroom so that he can access it and remember his Dad when he feels the need to. He hasn't used it much recently, but it is comforting to both him and me that it is there for him to use and look back on whenever he wants or needs to. They are a great resource that will be a great comfort for many years.’
