Children's Grief Awareness Day
We're excited to be supporting Children's Grief Awareness Day with our 'Wear A Rainbow' campaign.
The event will take place on Thursday 15th November and encourages businesses, schools and individuals to 'dress up or down' in support of the campaign.
Statistics show that 1 in 29 children are bereaved of a parent or sibling and that a parent of children under 18 dies every 22 minutes in the UK.
Children's Grief Awareness Day is designed to help us all become more aware of the needs of grieving children and of the benefits they obtain through the support of others.
We know that supporting them in this way aids the grieving process, combats loneliness and improves confidence and self-esteem. We hope that by raising awareness, more families who require support will contact us to access the wide range of support services we provide. This includes provision of books, memory boxes and resources as well as facilitating contact with others in the form of regular groups, activities and trips.
Please help us to raise awareness of child bereavement and improve the futures of these children by joining in with our campaign.
Take a look at our flyer, which contains everything you need to take part and contact email@example.com to register your interest and to find out how we can help with your event.
